Anthropologie Visit

Thanks to all who made it tonight up to the Jacksonville Anthropologie store. Danielle gave us a great tour and we got to be a part of one of the window displays. Danielle said she email me/us pictures when the window is finished. Don't blink during the slideshow or you'll miss it.

  5. Julia,
you need to put the show name, the address and phone # of the Store and I would get the band name from Denise. showtime 5-8pm (though it'll probably wrap before that)
If you don't mind put Sculpture One Coffee Club presents or something like that(in conjunction or collaboration)
you might want to put the blog address as well. When we get pics of the show we'll put them up.
    later,
great work!!!!!!!! you guys are doing awesome!!!!

  11. The editor of Drift called me to let me know that he needed a few more pictures for the article and that he would come to the Sertoma show tomorrow around 4-4:30 (some of us should probably be setting up around then) to snap some shots because he is on a deadline.

Also, I printed out little pieces of paper that say "SALVAGE Artist" (if you want to wear a name tag) and blank ones for writing the name/medium/price/whatever of your work. I'll bring them tomorrow.

    What'd KC say?

  12. uh oh! here comes the obnoxious hamblen hardware police reminding you to check in with kc before friday!

ashley, amelia, joe and i saw him on tuesday and he seems to be a little nervous, but who the eff can blame him? i think it would really put him at ease if more people checked in with him. we know we're low maintenance but he doesn't and he has never done anything like this before.

he's clearing out his front windows and endcaps and he'll be ready for us to come in as early as 2:00 on friday. claim your space because there's not much of it in the front!

  13. Did anyone read the Silva B. interview in conversations in sculpture? I thought she had some really insightful things to say about her work. Especially when she was talking about why she makes her sculptures so beautiful is to draw people in and then they can see the grotesque element. And you can see her fashion background in her work and craftsmen ship.
